Nijmeegse Vierdaagse 2024

Beitske fan ‘e redaksje fan ‘e Grutte Gelf hie heard dat wy meidwaan soenen oan de 4daagse en frege at wy der wat oer skriuwe woenen.
Wy hienen de bylden fan de 4daagse wolris op ‘e tillevyzje sjoen en dat seach der prachtich út. Lit ús dat ek ris besykje tochten wy. Earst mar prebearje om kaarten te krijen. Dat wie noch net sa maklik, mar slagge dochs.
Wy wisten net krekt wat ús te wachtsjen stie, allinne dat wy 4 dagen 30 km rinne mochten. (60+ers meie 30 km, oars is it 50 km for manlju en 40 km foar froulju.)
Op 13 july binne wy mei de caravan nei Groesbeek (8 km fan Nijmegen ôf) riden, dêr hienen wy in plakje op in camping reservearre.
Op 14 july koenen wy de startkaarten ophelje. Wat in folk yn Nijmegen, it wie no al in grut feest!
Wy mochten moarns om 7 oere starte (de 50 km-ers start fanôf 4 oere en de 40 km fanôf 5 oere). Moarns moai op tiid fan ’t bêd ôf en op ’t fytske nei Nijmegen. Wat wienen der in protte kuierders. Alle dagen ha wy in oare rûte fanôf Nijmegen rûn. Elke dei wie it allegear minsken oan ‘e kant fan ‘e wei, yn elk doarp feest. Se stienen mei skalen chips, sâlte stokjes, komkommers, tomaatsjes, koeke, snoep foar elkenien klear.
Oeral muzyk, korpsen en sjongers. Sa ha wy it net earder mei makke.
Om‘t it de lêtste dei hyt wurde soe, rûnen wy 10 km minder. Dat fûnen wy net slim, want de blierren pleagen my bot.
Wy kinne weromsjen op prachtige dagen. De oare deis wer nei hûs mei beide in medaille.
Undertusken binne Anne Spoelstra (dy’t de 4daagse ek die) en wy sponsere (regele troch Ieneke de Vries) troch jimme en is der € 1.300,- ophelle foar hulptransporten nei Oekraine. Tige tank hjirfoar!
