Deze week sprak Beitske Tjeerdsma met dhr. Oosterveld van de werkgroep Gekraagde Roodstaart (keninginne fan de Wâlden). Laatst zag ik allemaal cameramensen in het land. Hij vertelde dat dit een cameraploeg was van Vroege Vogels, zij hebben beelden gemaakt over de vogels in het Coulissenlandschap. Dit komt 21 juni op tv.

Dhr. Oosterveld doet onderzoek naar de broedparen en zei dit: ' Het aantal territoria in Surhuzum zit in de lift. Het is gegroeid van 28 in 2020 naar 45 nu. Vermoedelijk als gevolg van verbeterde winteroverleving in de Sahel door veel neerslag daar. Daarvan hadden we tot nu toe 11 in de nestkasten. De roodstaarten houden vooral van singels met veel verschillende soorten bomen en struiken en met een onbemeste perceelsrand erlangs. Twee studentes van de universiteit van Groningen helpen me met wekelijkse controles van de nestkasten en berekenen van het broedsucces.'
